Restaurant BREDA, by now a well-known name among Amsterdam locals and even beyond, is currently in search of a talented Line Cook! Restaurant BREDA is a part of The BREDA Group, which is the parent company of Klein BREDA, Restaurant BREDA, Maris Piper, The Noodle Shop, and Pita. All these establishments are under the leadership of Freek van Noortwijk, Johanneke van Iwaarden, and Vagarsh Mogatseljan.
Job Description
The Line Cook is responsible for the daily operations and progress in the kitchen of the establishment. You are in charge of overseeing (technical) aspects and preparing dishes, as well as the operational prerequisites related to this (inventory management and requisitioning from mostly fixed suppliers). The Line Cook provides input regarding the composition and modification of menus, the menu card, and methods.
Requirements
- Demonstrable knowledge of (basic) cooking techniques;
- knowledge of products/ingredients;
- willingness to take on any task;
- not satisfied with average performance;
- doesn't stop until the work is done;
- takes responsibility for their own work.
